Banned Books Month
LHS project studies banned books
Loreauville High School students and LHS librarian, Charlene Picheloup, recently worked on a project that included activities, discussions and debates on widely censored books and their "freedom to read." A library display was created to raise awareness that showcased many titles with a cautionary theme. Leading the project were, front row, from left, Brailyn Richard, Jarayha Jeanlouis and Krystyne Latiolais; middle row, Sloane Judice, Brittany Haycock, Hannah Gaudet, and Asia Jackson, and back row, Kimberly Hubertus, Garrett Ledford and Selena Mitchell. Teachers guiding the project were Carlene Domingue and Sheila Cestia. Featured in The Daily Iberian on October 26th.
